Poco F2 Pro Review, First Look & Hands on

The Poco F2 Pro I've been using for three weeks. Let's find out if this is a worthy upgrade from its predecessor. The Poco F2 Pro is actually bigger compare to Poco F1. It's thicker as well and of course, it is heavier than the previous version. On the top, you will see that there's a receiver speaker which is quite thin because it is the full screen so it's quite neatly placed up there.

Poco F2 Pro Review

The back is curved and it's made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with rounded edges and this is a cyber gray color. The flash and four rear cameras on the back panel and on the side we have the power button and the volume buttons. I like the color of the power button and at the top, we have the microphone. We have the 3.5 mm jack the IR blaster and the pop-up camera. The round thing on the pop-up camera is for the notification lights well we don't have any buttons on the left-hand side. we only have the antenna lines. At the bottom, we have a simple type C port. The speaker, the microphone, and the SIM slot it's a dual nano-SIM but you can't put any memory card in it. So this one is not expandable and I like the way they save space on the SIM slot because it's like back-to-back but it's kind of tricky. If you put two SIM cards because the other side might drop.

Poco F2 Pro Display:

Talking about the F2 Pro display it has a 6.67 AMOLED full-screen display. Its full screen because you don't see the camera since it's a pop-up camera. It is accordingly class 5 with a resolution of 2400x1080 Full HD plus and the brightness is 500nits with a 60Hertz refresh rate. I was hoping that they have a much higher refresh rate for this and it is to Vrain land full Karadzic display certification and since it's an AMOLED screen. It comes with the display fingerprint sensor to unlock your phone. Also supports HDR10 plus and Netflix HD streaming. They only have a single speaker from the bottom so it always has been its weakness and then the top speaker was not a stood that has to us because this has a single speaker. I don't think it has a decent sound but not really that fantastic.

Poco F2 Pro Performance:

The Poco F2 Pro is on MIUI11 and it has its own Poco launcher, running Android 10 and under the hood, it is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which is a flagship platform. It is used by the flagship phones of the family-like Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. It's also clocked the Qualcomm Rio 585 with 7-nanometer process technology which makes the processing more smooth. It has an octa-core processor up to 2.84 gigahertz clock speed and has Adreno 650 GPU and also 5th generation AI engine processor.

We have here is the 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is an LPDDR4X with the UFS 3.1. it also has another version which is 8GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage and that one has an LPDDR5 and also a UFS 3.1 so storage or savings to the hard drive is much faster compared to LPDDR4X. It has its liquid cool technology which is the 2.0 but much more a better version.

This Poco F2 Pro has an impressive onto to benchmark score of 548021 and based on the antutu benchmark rank the Poco F2 Pro is currently number 5.

Poco F2 Pro Battery:

This phone comes with the 4700mAh big battery and supports 30 watts fast charging and the charger that comes in within the box is actually a 33 watts charger and one of the highlights of this phone is the camera.

Poco F2 Pro Camera:

The back camera has four rear cameras. we have a 2MP depth sensor + 64MP main camera with a Sony IMX686 sensor + 13MP ultra-wide-angle comes with a 123 degrees field of view and the 5MP tele-macro sensor. There is Dual-LED dual-tone flash, gyro-EIS, HDR, and panorama. It supports videos up to 8K@24/30fps, 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps, 1080p@960fps. gyro-EIS, HDR, panorama.

The night mode 2.0 is also a very good feature. There is a motorized pop-up camera of 20MP supports video up to 1080p@30fps and 720p@120fps.

Poco F2 Pro Other Features:

There's so much more to this Poco F2 Pro than what I've mentioned. The other features that they have included on this phone. so it also has a smarter screen which is a 360 triple ambient light sensor that can detect emit light more accurately to automatically adjust the brightness of this screen. It is equipped with a 5G, NFC support and it is Wi-Fi 6.

The price starts at around $499 U.S. dollars and it should be available in most countries. What do I think about this phone well I think it's a big upgrade. It's a great upgrade compared to the Poco F1 and the price itself.

Poco F2 Pro Conclusion:

I would say it's worth it and I know a lot of people are saying it's overpriced but for me, it's worth the price and all we kind of like what this phone is just the design itself it's not pretty bad. I'm not a big fan of the designer leaning on the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro kind of design but let me know what you think on the comments below
